My name is Dave Hughes and I live in York, England. I worked as a Linotype operator for the Yorkshire Evening Press between 1976 and 1980 and the South London Press between 1980 and 1990. I now work for Arriva Trains at York station and my Linotype days are fast becoming a faded memory . . . I set up this site in January 2001.
